Bath and Kitchen Sales Consultant/Showroom Associate

Job Description:

Central Plumbing and Heating is hiring a full-time sales associate to work with contractors, trade professionals and retail customers. We’re looking for an enthusiastic team member experienced in and passionate about kitchen and bath design, and who enjoys working with people to fulfill the bath of their dreams.  The showroom is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.  No weekend or evening hours required.

Central Plumbing and Heating Supply boasts one of the most impressive kitchen and bath showrooms in the country.  Staffed with courteous, knowledgeable sales associates, when you deal with Central for your kitchen and bath needs it’s important to know:

• We are a nationally recognized Bertch Bath cabinet dealer housing the State of New York’s most comprehensive array of vanity cabinets – over 25 are on display each paired with popular countertop choices from Cambria, Onyx, and Tere-Stone

• With the gaining popularity of tile wall substitutes, our showroom has 10 complete wall kit installations from brands like Tere-Stone, Onyx, and Swanstone. We are the 5^th largest Onyx wall kit dealer in the State

• The most comprehensive Blanco kitchen sink display in the area. All colors of their popular Silgranit are installed in kitchen cabinets with complementing Cambria and granite countertops.  Every display is matched with coordinating accessories and a Delta, Moen, or Kohler kitchen faucet providing the customer a full experience.

• Five full kitchen cabinet displays from brands like Starmark and Mid-Continent. Complimented with Kohler and Blanco kitchen sinks; Moen, Delta, and Kohler faucets; and the latest Bertazzoni appliances.   We have a full custom mud room display complete with a pet shower.

• Freestanding tubs have become the focal point of virtually every new bathroom remodel. We display 9 freestanding tubs from brands like Victoria & Albert, Mansfield, and Bain Ultra to meet every required price point and design aesthetic.  The tubs are matched with faucets from Delta, Moen, and Kohler

• All of our bath vignette displays are complemented with the latest Delta and Moen faucets. New finishes like Matte Black and Champagne Bronze are installed in real-life

• Displaying over 30 Cambria designs in both kitchen and bathroom countertops. Many of these are paired with the popular Blanco Silgranit kitchen and Kohler undermount lavatory sinks

• Our showroom is lit with 2700k color temperature LED bulbs emitting a warm, welcoming light that serves to bring out each finish and color

• Easily accessible and spacious, our showroom enables navigation with strollers and wheelchairs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet customers in the showroom
• Reconcile client’s design requirements, personal design preferences and budget
• Manage the sale from start to finish
• Cultivate relationships with trade professionals and homeowners
• Answer customers’ questions about product in person and by phone
• Maintain up-to-date literature and product samples
• Participate in activities and professional group meetings that will potentially increase sales

Requirements/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of industry experience
• Technical knowledge relating to product and general bath design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency and competency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Attention to detail
• Self-motivated
• Positive attitude
• Professional attire and image

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly base plus monthly commissions
